Lighting services

Specifying lighting is easy. Specifying it so that every dimmer behaves, every colour matches and the saving is real takes measurement. These five services cover that whole chain.

Service 1

Residential LED Retrofit

Most homes have between 30 and 50 light fittings, and almost no two of them want the same lamp. A retrofit that swaps everything for one generic bulb usually ends with three rooms that feel wrong and a drawer full of returns.

From $390 for a typical three-bedroom home, lamps included Survey within 5 working days · installation in one visit
Warm lamp light in a modern living room

How it works

  • Room-by-room survey

We record base type, fitting depth, enclosure, dimmer make and model, and how each room is actually used — reading, cooking, winding down.

  • A specification, not a shopping list

Each fitting gets a lamp chosen for lumens, colour temperature, beam angle and dimming compatibility, written up so you can re-order it in five years.

  • Single-visit installation

Our fitters bring the full specification with them, install, test every dimmer through its range, and take the old lamps away for recycling.

  • Verified afterwards

We re-read your meter profile 60 days later and send you the measured saving, not the brochure estimate.

What is included

  • Full fitting survey and written specification
  • Supply of all specified lamps
  • Installation and dimmer testing
  • Old-lamp collection and recycling
  • 60-day measured savings report
  • Five-year warranty on every lamp fitted
Service 2

Commercial & Retail Lighting Design

A commercial scheme has to satisfy a lighting standard, an energy code, an accountant and — in retail — a merchandiser. We design to all four at once rather than lighting the space and arguing about it afterwards.

Design from $2,400; credited against supply on projects over $15,000 Concept design in 10 working days

How it works

  • Photometric modelling

We model the space to EN 12464-1 / IES RP-1 illuminance and uniformity targets before anything is ordered, and give you the false-colour plots to sign off.

  • Glare and flicker control

UGR limits for screen-based work, and driver selection tested for flicker — which matters for headaches, camera work and anyone with photosensitivity.

  • Retail colour rendering

For merchandise we specify 90+ CRI with attention to R9, so reds photograph and sell the way they look in the sample book.

  • Phased, out-of-hours installation

Floor-by-floor or aisle-by-aisle, scheduled around trading hours, with as-built documentation at handover.

What is included

  • Site measurement and existing-installation audit
  • Photometric model and illuminance plots
  • Luminaire schedule with alternates
  • Energy-code compliance documentation
  • Phased installation programme
  • As-built drawings and maintenance schedule
Service 3

Energy Audit & Savings Analysis

Lighting is usually quoted as a percentage of the bill taken from a national average. That number is almost never right for a specific building. We measure instead.

From $850; waived when the recommended works proceed with us Report 10 working days after loggers are removed
Electricity meter measuring consumption

How it works

  • Logged, not estimated

We fit circuit-level loggers for 14 days to capture real burn hours, including the lights nobody admits are left on overnight.

  • Tariff-accurate modelling

Savings are calculated against your actual tariff — time-of-use bands, demand charges and standing charges included.

  • Payback and sensitivity

You get a payback period with a sensitivity range, so you can see what happens if energy prices move 20% either way.

  • Rebates and incentives

We identify utility rebate programmes you qualify for and prepare the supporting documentation.

What is included

  • 14-day circuit-level logging
  • Fitting inventory with condition notes
  • Tariff-accurate cost model
  • Payback analysis with sensitivity range
  • Rebate eligibility review
  • Prioritised action list
Service 4

Trade & Bulk Supply

Contractors do not lose money on the price of a lamp. They lose it waiting for one. Trade supply is mostly a logistics problem, so that is what we solve.

Trade accounts open with a $1,500 initial order Stocked lines ship next working day
Distribution warehouse with racked pallets

How it works

  • Tiered account pricing

Volume bands from one carton upward, with the price locked for the length of a named project.

  • Consignment stock

We hold agreed quantities of your standard lines and bill on consumption, so a failed lamp is a store-cupboard problem rather than a lead-time problem.

  • Scheduled and drop-shipped delivery

Call-off against a schedule, or straight to site with your own labelling.

  • Batch-matched colour

Orders for the same space ship from one binning batch, so twelve downlights in a row are actually the same white.

What is included

  • Named account manager
  • Volume pricing with project price-hold
  • Consignment stock options
  • Scheduled or drop-ship delivery
  • Batch-matched colour binning
  • Consolidated monthly invoicing
Service 5

Warranty Registration & Recycling

A bulb that outlives its receipt is no use to anyone if the claim depends on the receipt. Registration ties the warranty to the lamp, and the recycling programme deals with what it replaced.

Used light bulbs collected for recycling

How it works

  • Registration in two minutes

Serial number, purchase date, retailer. That is the whole claim record, held for the full five years.

  • Replacement, not repair

A lamp that fails inside the term is replaced and shipped free. There is no pro-rata deduction and no inspection queue.

  • Prepaid recycling returns

Order a prepaid mailer for old CFLs, halogens and LEDs. CFLs contain mercury and must not go in household waste.

  • Certified downstream

Material goes to R2-certified processors and we publish the recovery figures every year.

What is included

  • Five-year replacement warranty on registered lamps
  • Free replacement shipping
  • Prepaid recycling mailers
  • Certified R2 downstream processing
  • Annual recovery reporting
  • Bulk collection for commercial sites
How we work

Four steps, whichever service you pick

  1. 1

Tell us what you are lighting

A room, a floor plan, a photo of a fitting, or a spreadsheet of 400 lamps. All of it works as a starting point.

  2. 2

    We measure before we quote

Survey, logging or photometric model, depending on the job. Nothing is specified from a catalogue alone.

  3. 3

    You get a written specification

Lamp by lamp or luminaire by luminaire, with the reasoning, the price and the expected saving beside each line.

  4. 4

    We install, test and verify

Every dimmer run through its range, old lamps taken for recycling, and a measured result 60 days later.
